Summary:

In this role, you will have ownership over:


  1. Being the voice of the customer:  being able to understand the pain points of our ideal customer profiles to ensure our products are being created to serve their greater needs.

  2. Product vision & messaging to ensure we are properly positioned in the market for growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

You will own the full marketing plan for the business focused on customer acquisition & retention.  The key areas of your ownership will include:

  1. Messaging:  from the website, to sales collateral, through to all market-facing assets.

  2. Community management:  from content marketing through to social media.

  3. Understanding customer & marketing intelligence:

    1. Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the whowhatwhen, and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.

    2. Collaborate with the Product Team to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas.

    4. Be the expert on our buyers:  who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria.

    5. Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the whowhatwhen and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.

  4. Competitive landscape:  who they are & how they’re positioned.

  5. Product launches

    1. Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.

  6. Support sales channels with messaging, collateral, ongoing training, and enablement strategies.

 

Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of experience as Product Marketing Manager or Director and looking for career growth with a proven market leader (2 years of experience in a market-facing role, like delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research). 

  • Experience in business communication, especially in the areas of B2B sales & marketing.

  • Articulate communication, writing and presentation skills to express ideas clearly.

  • Experience in managing people is a plus.

  • Familiarity with CRM, Marketing Automation, and modern sales & marketing tools.

  • Data, analytical and ROI tracking mindset to help understand patterns of opportunities, risks and growth.

  • Proficient in productivity applications such as G Suite, Project Management apps and more. 

  • Familiar with marketing automation tools such as Marketo, Pardot and Omniture, and Google Analytics.

  • Understanding of networking tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

  • Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer.
